Below is a list of our terms and conditions. Because we work differently from other firms, this document is very important and describes our respective responsibilities. Please take the time to read it thoroughly and call us with any questions. Thank you for considering our firm, we look forward to serving you!
General Terms and Conditions
- Tarascio & Del Vecchio, PLLC is a limited scope firm offering legal services on a limited scope basis. Your receipts and client notes will state with specificity the tasks to be completed and will create a limited scope agreement.
- All regular attorney services are billed at $99 or $129 per hour and must be paid in advance. The hourly rate you will be charged will depend on which attorney you are working with. Depending on the experience and relative demand of the attorney, their hourly rate will be at a level I or level II. Please call the office to determine which attorney would best suit your needs.
- Full payment must be received prior to attorney commencement of any follow-up work. By paying in advance we are eliminating the costs of monthly bills and collection fees for clients who don’t pay. Our billing method is the primary reason we are able to keep our fees so low. No exceptions will be made for our billing policy. Follow-up phone or e-mail correspondence will be tracked by your attorney and billed in 1/2 hour increments.
- The hourly fee for a “rush job” is $159/hour. This is up to the discretion of your attorney and will be communicated and agreed upon prior to charging.
- Attorney services will be quoted and agreed to by you and your attorney. For instance, if you hire your attorney to draft documents, the attorney will quote you a flat fee based on his/her estimated hours. This will create a flat fee agreement for the described service.
- The flat fee is deemed earned upon receipt. It is non-refundable. You are entitled to discharge Attorney at any time during the course of the representation. You may be entitled to a refund for all or part of the fee previously paid based upon the value of the representation provided and other factors as set forth in the Supreme Court Rules governing attorney fees.
- In the event you determine that you would like your attorney to represent you in court or take a more active role in your case, you will be required to “retain” your attorney. This means you will be required to deposit a sum of money within a trust account maintained by the firm. The attorney will then bill against that retainer for neccessary work on your case. You will be provided with a separate retainer agreement in the event you decide to retain your attorney and those terms and conditions will become controlling.
- We respect your time and strive to stay on schedule within our office. If you are unable to make a scheduled appointment and do not call to reschedule or cancel within 24 hours you will be charged a $40 cancellation fee.
- In addition to the fees associated with the general terms and conditions we offer the following services for an additional charge:
