Tarascio & Del Vecchio is a firm dedicated to serving low and middle income individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford an attorney. What makes our firm different, is that we utilize limited scope methods to eliminate administrative costs and create an affordable model of services. Billie Tarascio first developed the model in Eugene Oregon, under the name Access Legal Services .
In 2009, the firm expanded to Mesa, AZ and is located at 1 North MacDonald Street, Suite 201. In Arizona, attorneys are not permitted to practice under Trade Names, such as “Access Legal Services.” Tarascio & Del Vecchio is the Mesa law firm utilizing the limited scope model originally created in Oregon.
The American Bar Association estimates that 80% of the total American population cannot afford traditional legal services. The concept of Limited Scope Legal representation has emerged as a partial solution to this national problem. Limited Scope or “unbundled” services break down cases into smaller issues or pieces, whereby the attorney and client work together on the client’s case. In this manner, more people can afford partial representation, gaining better, fairer outcomes. The company’s solution is not limited to the poor, but is open to anyone who isn’t using traditional attorneys, whether because they can’t afford it or you are choosing to represent yourself.
We believe there is a huge gap between the people who qualify for legal aid and those who can afford traditional attorneys. We are seeking to fill that gap by helping you represent yourself. Our Mesa attorneys can assist you with a wide variety of practice areas and be involved as little or as much as you would like helping you access legal systems and solutions.
Here is how it works: A client calls the firm and communicates the problem they have. We determine whether or not we have an attorney who can help them and schedule an appointment. Just prior to the appointment, the client pays anywhere from a $99-$129 fee. The attorney and client then sit down and dive into their case. The client is presented options from the attorney and the two determine who will do what tasks within the case. The client is sent away with information and a clear plan of what to do next. The attorney may or may not be hired to do more work at that time. We are then available through-out the duration of the case at any time.
